Amazing looks - bad sole - quality control not there

I live in UK and bought these boots from an authorized retailer. I have to say that tried several pairs of the same size , all felt different . I ended up with the one that felt so so comfortable , because the super comfortable pair had so badly clicked leather that was wrinkling like a 100 year old womans skin. After a month or so the left boot ( that was not super comfortable ) , stretched so they are kind of fine now. My biggest issue ( apart from some variations in stitching ( the eyelets on the left and right boot are totally differently stitched ) , is the sole that wore in LESS than two months ( NOTE here that the right outsole was SIGNIFICANTLY thinner than the left one ). I had to take it to a cobbler that is one of the best here and he stitched a JR leather outsole that cost in total 140 pounds . he was shocked though by the quality control and the different thicknesses of the soles . so lastly , this boot has cost me 440 pounds in total. I like the brown but I'm really afraid of purchasing again..
