That's Handy

If you aren't familiar with the online shop Hickoree's Hard Goods, please take a moment and get to know it — it's a good one. The workwear and Americana loving shop is the product of the same stylish gents behind the neck tie collection The Hill-Side. We were browsing the new and old offerings the other day when we came across this vintage Wolverine glove sign. Wonder if the fellas at Hickoree's would trade it to us for half a pair of 1000 Mile boots?

GQ Picks January Jones and the Wolverine 1000 Mile "Ascot"

In case you missed the November issue of GQ, we were excited to see our Wolverine 1000 Mile "Ascot" boots in the Manual section. There was some controversy as to whether the cover image was "enhanced" with photoshop, but we can assure you our boots are all real! Anyway you slice it, classic American boots and Mad Men's January Jones are not a bad combination. If you don't get your hands on a pair of the Ascots (or Ms. Jones), at least pick up a copy of the issue.

1000 Mile Unboxing

Why should the tech guys get to have all the fun. We thought it would be nice to share a good old unboxing (Wolverine 1000 Mile in rust) with you...

Retailer Spotlight | Leffot NYC

The men's shoe store Leffot is one of our favorite shops in New York City, actually one of our favorite shops anywhere. So needless to say we were excited to see the 1000 Mile collection land there this fall. If you find yourself in New York, enjoying the autumn weather, stop by Leffot, say hello to the proprietor Steven and pick up a pair of 1000 Mile boots. If you feel inclined, wear your new boots right out of the store — they break in easy and are pefect for wandering around Downtown New York.

Wolverine 1000 Mile c.1956

The Wolverine 1000 Mile boots date all the way back to 1914. The style — which we pulled right out of our archives — was the first nationally advertised Wolverine boot. The other day as we were perusing the Life Magazine archives (via Google Books) we found these great ads in the May 21st, 1956 issue. Those boots look awfully similar to the 1000 Mile boots we are selling today. We'll wear 'em 30 days, it will be our pleasure.

Farinelli in the House

Check out who came to the Wolverine showroom in NYC last week — Mister Mauro Farinelli — who sells the Wolverine 1000 Mile boots at his store in Arlington, Virgina. Looks like Mauro is embracing the fall weather and rocking the 1000 Mile boots in black with his Woolrich Woolen Mills pants. Well played sir...

Wolverine 1000 Mile on GQ.com

The good folks at GQ featured the Ascot from the Wolverine 1000 Mile collection in their fall buying guide aptly titled "Bring on the Cold."
