As soon as they were delivered, I started my return. The look of the boot, Great. The leather buttery soft. Great The softness and comfort of the leather, Great. The cushion of the inner/sole of boot also Great. My foot is a size 12, the fit was fine for my feet. But, what made me return the boots ... My ankle, was swimming in the boots the back rise was rubbing against my ankle, lower calf area, which over time would be annoying. The tongue was not gusseted, which will make the tongue go side to side and for me it protects the feet from outside elements, dirt dust repelling water, especially if the boot would be used for more walking and moving around in the street. The rubber seal around the leather by the outsole/midsole did was not secured on either boot in certain sections, it seems the rubber did not adhere to the leather or the rubber was too soft to be adhered to or mold to the size of the boot. I've had a lot of boots with this type of sole /outsole type for the price point a little more research could have gone into how to make that rubber not warp out from the leather, or use a different stitch down material to keep it from looking as such. My opinion is that with this flaw, and if I do step into water or even snow, that seal will not hold up to those elements and allow moisture to get in the boot. So I am returning the boots. Hopefully Wolverine can understand why I returned the boots. But hopefully something else catches my eye on their site. the Vic Mensa's didnt do it for me.
