Very Handsome Quality Shoes - by , Jun 19, 2020
5/ 5 Stars
I think this is a good idea from Wolverine (both of the "Romeo" versions). This Ranchero is like a lower profile version of the I-90 EPX chelsea-style work boot that is disguised as a casual shoe. There is no need to be bothered with shoelaces that get undone and eventually get dirty and frayed. Simply pull these on and go! Both are very handsome looking boots and I wear my Rancheros around the house and out and about just like a regular shoe after the 2 week break in period. Please don't change anything about these basic styles. They're perfect really. The only catch is that these shoes are indeed made from REAL leather because real leather gets scratches and scuffs in it somewhat easily when getting in vehicles, stubbing them on steps, brushing against hard objects etc. Perhaps maybe add a tan nubuck or suede skin version to help with this? However, in my opinion, that's no reason take credibility from these shoes. They are still tough & nice looking shoes overall and the soles grip well. The steel toe version gives me a little extra confidence when weightlifting or doing yard work. They seem comfortable enough though maybe a half inch beyond the listed size. I would rather them be 1/2 inch longer than 1/2 inch too short- so not a big deal at all. In short, I like these boots. Keep this style for some years to come

Overall pretty good - by , Jun 12, 2019
4/ 5 Stars
Got a 9.5M, my usual Wolverine size. Probably could have gone with a 9.0, as the elastic structure stretches much more easily than a traditional construction. Also feels a tad wide for my taste. Still wearable, just not as snug as I'm used to. Soles seem good in the machine shop. Leather looks a lot like Featherlite-- a dull matte black, not shiny, so a little harder to keep looking clean; Don't think it would polish well, but they're work shoes, not dress loafers, so I don't mind.

Comfortable, easy on/off, not too hot to wear all day.
