They used to look good, - by , May 02, 2020

I just wanted to update my previous review from over a year ago. After 3 months they had some wear and tear setting in and the insides were starting to fall apart. I've had these boots for a year and a half now. They've definitely seen better days. And I'm surprised that they have lasted as long as they have. I don't have high expectations for boots because honestly I've never had a pair that lasted long enough. The average life expectancy of boots I bought, anonymously naming a few like Rock****, Timber**** and Sket*****, would last me about 3 months before my feet started getting wet or the entire sole would fell off (in the snow! It was a bad day). I do walk alot but it's the chemicals I walk through that usually cause my shoes to fall apart. Plus I don't put any effort into caring for the leather or do any shoe maintenance. I wear them like I stole them. My boots look rough, the leather is scuffed up, the inner liner is torn apart, the rubber sole is worn through and about to fall off. BUT my feet still stay dry. I'm not sure how. They're definitely not as comfortable as they were when I got them but a new pair of insoles would probably help that. So to sum up the life expectancy review of my Wolverine boots, they can take a beating, keep your feet dry and last a pretty long time (might not be pretty but they'll last). It's time to get another pair and hope they're built just as good as these. I'm sure better boots exist but how much do they cost... Previous review dated Apr 01, 2019 I bought these boots as a Christmas gift for myself and maybe I set my expectations a little too high. I walk up and down stairs, back and forth through multiple automotive shops. Averaging 5 - 7 miles a day. It's important to have a comfortable, safe and professional work attire so I figured I'd raise the bar and try something other than plain Oxford style boot that only last 3 months before the sole starts leaking or just falls off altogether. Well here I am 3 months later and the insoles are worn all the way through and barely in 1 piece. But the worst part is the fabric material around the heel has also worn through and is torn. Now it bunches up while you walk and rubs against the sides of my heels. Like a saggy sock. But yes, they still look good and they don't leak. The soles are holding up but definitely showing some high mileage wear. The tip of toe leather is dented in but that's a simple leather conditioning fix. I just expected a longer lasting comfortable boot that wouldn't fall apart like the less expensive competitors.

Perfect boots - by , Apr 28, 2020

I have purchased these boots three times now twice because the pitbulls love to chew them up and a third to replace them since each time the opposite side boot was eaten. They are very comfortable and sized as advertised. I have not found any flaws to them and have used one pair to setup lighting for the 2007 superbowl of all things. So over 12 years now this specific style has been very solid and lasts lots of gigs. Top quality product I will be buying WOLVERINE products for life.

I have had these boots for over six months I’m 275 lbs and I work on a concrete floor 12-14 hours a day 6 days a week these boots are the best I have ever worn, it took about 2 weeks to break them in, my feet definitely do not get as fatigued As they did with my other boots I will certainly buy another pair of wolverines when the time comes!

Disappointed that they don't come in wider sizes - by , Apr 17, 2020

I have been searching before boots for months. My criteria are choosing wolverine are the 4E sizes . That can be hit-or-miss when ordering online. From the reviews these boots were highly rated. Unfortunately not available in 4E. I went with the larger size and the extra wide. It's only been a few weeks. The features that stand out the most to me with these boots is the reinforced shank and lateral and arch support. Pros: Great for all day support at work Waterproof Cons: not available in 4E

I bought these for work, I work 12 hours day on concrete floors and it kills my feet, legs, knees, and hips. These were the top rated boots for such thing on my searches. They don’t quite fit the bill, nice boots just don’t do what I bought them for

Great but not super comfy - by , Mar 10, 2020

I got these boots for my boyfriend who’s a carpenter. He absolutely loves them but they’re just not as comfortable on his feet. He works long days in boots and these boots squeeze his pinky toes in. He’s tried putting different kinds and sizes of insoles in them and one on just the left ball of his foot helps and doesn’t squish his toes as much but they still hurt more than they should. Hopefully he finds something that works.
