These boots are horrible. After only 3 years of being on my feet 12-16 hours a day, abusing them in water snow, mud, cows and God only knows what, and more insoles than I can count, the stitching in these boots finally gave out. I hope the pair I bought to replace them can do even better. The only suggestion I can offer is to make more insoles available for the boots so I don't have to keep replacing them with inferior one's from retail stores.

I gave 3 stars for keeping my feet dry and warm. I live in the Northeast where when it snows avg.12" and which most people only really have to deal with it for a day or so. I myself have to deal with it much longer. When temperatures stay cold and the snow lingers on for weeks. I would have to track thru it. With a foot or more snow. Tracking thru it all day, these boots stay dry and keep my feet warm. Why I took 2 stars away was they are not all day comfort. The souls and heels are much harder then any Wolverine boot I ever own. Usually onwed Durashocks and there Compressor which is now discontinued. These are suppose to be gel padding in this boot, but I don't feel it all. Also the eyelets on top pop off, making it hard to keep them tie tight. I'm finding harder to find a boot with all my needs without being a much bulkier or uglier and pricier.

If you are looking for a gel cushioned sole, our DuraShocks or MultiShox styles have compression pads and are designed for all day comfort. These are especially suited for men who work on concrete.

Difficult to rate: The most comfortable shoe/boot I've owned in my life. Warm in winter and yet comfy in summer. Waterproof almost to the end. BUT. my first pair, purchased in 2011 had a 1/4 inch crack across the sole within six months. Wolverine quickly replaced them at no charge. Within 2 years and about 1500 miles of walking, the same thing happened again. I repaired with "Shoo Goo" and it helped for a while. Another six months and the cracks penetrated the waterproofing and became uncomfortable. The stitching on the uppers also started breaking up about then as well. If it wasn't for the uppers going (as they have on all Wolverine shoes I've had) I would have gotten them resoled. Again, VERY comfy. Poor quality soles.

GREAT, for 8 months - by , Dec 15, 2012

I tried these boots after having had 3 pairs of the DuraShocks. Unlike the DuraShocks, the Contour Welt soles have worn out far faster. I generally get about 18 months out of the DuraShocks. After only 8 months of wearing these boots the soles have worn completely down on some parts. I love the boots but I can't afford to replace them so quickly.

They are very comfortable and stylish workbooks, but they do not stay laced. Its very annoying to constantly have to tie your shoes. I'm sure I'm not the only one having this problem, I'm 41 and know how to tie my shoes.

We are sorry you are having an issue with the laces. Sometimes the fix is simply rubbing the laces with a soapy rag to remove any residue. Give our Customer Service team a call if you have further issues.

This is my second pair of these boots. I've been on a 10 mile highway const. project for 18 months and I walk many miles every day.these are the best boots I've ever owned. The boot and the sole have far outlasted any of my past boots. The comfort and warmth also surpass the others and in the hot weather my feet remained cool. Try'em you'll like 'em!

These boots are excellent - they fit well, are comfortable, and are still in excellent shape after a winter in Minneapolis. Very well insulated, which is nice in the winter. Could use some more heel support, but that's nothing Dr. Scholl's can't fix. I would definitely buy these again.
