Tight to pull on. Loose once they were on. Out of the box, these were very tight to pull on. Once on, they felt loose. Walking around, the heal doesn’t have much impact protection. If you have bad knees, you’d need to add some sort of shock insoles. I’m sure that would have helped me with how loose they felt, but I returned them based on how hard they were to pull on.

Amazing boots but not waterproof anymore I used these boots to crawl under muddy and wet chassis for a year or so and they are ablosutely the most comfortable, warm, easy to wear boots i have gone through. That being said if my socms are too thin my toes catch the steel toe and during hurricane irma i unfortunately found out they are no longer waterproof. Is there a way to fix this? Might try mink oil

Good Product if used in the first 1-3 years. Hello. I bought two pairs of this boot about 5 years ago. During that time, they went unused until just a few weeks ago. After wearing the first pair for a few days, the entire bottom part of each shoe totally fell apart. I had to take the boots to a local shoe repair place to have it fixed. I'm now wearing the second pair and it seems to be holding out fine. This may or may not be a fluke, but I had the same situation happen to another pair of boots from another company when they went unused for a few years. Apparently rubber made for these kind of boots doesn't last beyond a few years. I also own another pair of Black Wolverine Wellington boots from 1989 that I bought in Bridgman, MI. They're still going fine with no problems.

Glues and other decomposable materials can break down faster if in storage and with no use. If we can be of any assistance, don't hesitate to call at 866.699.7369. Thank you.

Light weight and comfortable, weak material First two times putting the boots on they were a bit tight, had to really pull, but after a couple days in the field they broke in nicely and slip on smoothly. Traction is good, and feet stay warm in WI winter. I would not call Nubuck leather "rugged" as advertised. The material is wearing rather quickly on the toe and I would expect the steel toe to be showing by spring (currently early winter, plan to cut 4 cord of firewood by spring), which is unfortunate as I was hoping these would last at least a year. Should have went full-grain leather. I recommend this boot for light work or operating equipment (sitting in a cab), not for cutting firewood and working around pastures due to the non-ruggedness of Nubuck leather.

The velvety look and feel of nubuck may not be the best choice for that type of work. If we can be of assistance give us a shout and we will do all we can. 866.699.7369. Thank you.
