Our company requires: Safety toe, metatarsal protection, waterproof, lace up, heel and electrical hazard rating. Add in the comfort of these boots and try finding that anywhere else!

My husband goes through about a pair of these a year for work. They seem to be comfortable and last for about a year before we need to replace them.

Everything I need!! - by , Apr 21, 2019

I started a new job that is completely out of the box for me. I have no experience buying steel toed boots with met guard. I do have to say that I bought a DIFFERENT BRAND and it brought me nothing but discomfort. The steel toe was rubbing on the top of my 4th toe and pressing on my pinky toes on both feet and also rubbing on the back of my feet. I had to put band aids all over my feet to help with the painful rubbing. I was in severe pain by the end of the week. I even traded them in for a half size bigger and a wide and the same issued persisted, leaded me to believe that it was the design of the boot, not good. THE HUNT FOR A BETTER BOOT WAS ON!!!! I needed steel toe, a met guard and most important was comfort. I am literally on my feet for 8 hours or more a shift. I am on concrete floors. I came upon Wolverines site and began my search including the minimum of steel toe and met guard. I read the reviews which really helped with my final decision. I chose the Darco Waterproof Metatarsal Guard Steel Toe 6" Work Boot. It took a week for my feet to adjust only because they were so sore from the other brand that I had worn for 4 months. I was instructed by fellow employees to buy a 1/2 size larger and get a wide for the steel toe. When I initially tried the boots I felt like they were too big, my foot was sliding. However I put in an additional pair of insoles and got some air wick technology padded socks and that solved the problem from my feet sliding. I have just finished my second week. My feet are soooo happy! I feel like I am walking with cushiony slippers, by the end of the week I am no longer in agony!!! I am very happy and pleased with these boots. I do not have the issues that I had with the other brand. I am pleased to say that I have plenty of toe room. I can even flex my toes and bend them while wearing the boots and the back of my feet DO NOT rub on the seam in the boot. The reviews on Wolverine helped me to make my final decision therefore I hope to do the same for someone else. The clincher that made me decide to purchase from Wolverine was the Free Shipping and Free Returns with a 30 day comfort guarantee. I had nothing to lose. I hope this review helps someone, but selfishly I am looking forward to getting my 20% off so I can buy a couple pair of Wolverine's Safety Toe Moisture Wicking Socks!!!

great boot that handles the abuse - by , Mar 29, 2019

i have been getting this boot over and over. most boots i have bought can barely make it 10 months. this pair (2406) last me well over a year. i work in a forge shop that is a very abusive environment, constantly on uneven wet or oily surfaces. this boot holds up and stays waterproof even with minor cuts in the leather. the only down side is the laces, they dont hold up well at all. i buy kevlar laces with each pair that last longer than the boot.

This is the most comfortable pair of work boots I have ever had. I’ve had two pairs of Wolverines and they are the best boot you can buy, my first pair I had for more than ten years.

Put them on. Laced them up. Took them of within a minute. Couldn’t stand the discomfort. - by , Jul 20, 2018

What happen to your EEE, EEEE boots. After wearing wolverines for 30 plus years, I am looking at different brands.

This is a very good boot. Sized to an expected fit for the boot size. I would recommend this boot for anyone who walks on concrete or wears work boots for more than 10 hours in a work day
