Comfort
Not as happy with the comfort - by , Nov 05, 2014
3/ 5 Stars
I bought these about 3 weeks ago. I was excited to get them as I have had a pair of Durashox boots for abot about 3 years and really enjoyed them, but it was time to retire them. I have had to insert my insoles from my Durashox on top of my multishox soles for comfort as the feel stiff. I am also disappointed in the wear on top of the toe box. I spend some time each day kneeling down installing/repairing office equipment. These are all scuffed up and worn color off the toes from carpet in less than a month. I could understand if Iworked in a quarry, logger, construction site...etc, but not because I knelt down to put a new set of wheels on a office chair, or change the lock on a desk drawer. Disappointed to say the least for a expensive boot for a disabled vet.. Even my military Durashox I had before my last pair I had, took a beating better than these.

As far as comfort goes, these boots are incredible.I could work in them all day.Loved how waterproof they are.I could stand in water for significant amounts of time and my feet never got wet.I saw some of the reviews and in my case the insoles stayed in place and boots were easy to take off.The only problem I had was that the sole on my right boot wore down really bad(I do a lot of shoveling in my construction trade). The left boot is still almost as good as new though.Great comfortable boots and as long as they improve the soles on them I'll be glad to get another pair.

Terrible Technology - by , Jun 11, 2014

I'm giving this boot the lowest possible rating because of the wave mesh lining. It is a horrible technology and Wolverine should really re-think this. I literally had to cut 2 pairs of these off of my feet to get them off. The mesh wears out at the heel in a very short time and if you're like me, your heel gets stuck in them when trying to take them off. I'll NEVER purchase another pair of these boots.

Tool & Diemaker - by , May 09, 2014

I've been in the machine trades for over 40 years, and standing on my feet all day is part of the job requirements. I love my new Wolverine Bucanneer steel-toe boots, they were comfortable from the very first day. I've tried other brands over the years but keep coming back to the Wolverine brand.

These boots are comfortable, but the inside lining rips apart. My first pair did it, but I thought it was a defect so I purchased another pair and in less than six weeks in did the same thing. I have been wearing this pair for only three months and the heals of all my new socks have holes in them due to the inside of my boots ripping.

Great boot, Bad internal sewing - by , Apr 08, 2014

I loved these boots, wore them to work and casual outings BUT after sometime the inner sewing on the back of your foot by your tendon area come undone & it was a real hassle to take them off that last time I wore them, sad to say that ever since then I have not worn them again just cause it would be so hard to take them off. I was thinking off taking them to a local boot repair shop and seeing what they can do about them, cause the boots are just staring at me when I look in my closet. ALSO the heel are on the removable sole became separated so I had to glue it back to the cushiony part of the sole.

Good for 4 months - by , Mar 01, 2014

I was very happy with these for about 4 months: very comfortable, even on concrete and steel all day. But after that time the linings came loose, which has not only made them noisy, uncomfortable, impossible to get off, and degraded the fit, but has wallowed the boot out and basically wrecked them. Don't know what the problem is, but if Wolverine could fix it it would be great, but until they do these are definitely not recommended. I am, admittedly, rough on boots, but a $180 pair should last longer than 4 months.

Just got them and love the comfort and fit, hope I don't have a similar problem like these other reviews have said, Keep it up Wolverine, may buy a lace up hunting boot in the near future if these hold up

The MultiShox's are an excellent style that has comfort gel footbed cushions to offer return energy in each step. Thank you so much for this great review and we would love to hear an update on how they do.

Happy feet - by , Nov 19, 2013

So far so good, only had them for two days but I'm surprised at this boot, It's like they were already broken in. I am a pipefitter and on my feet the better part of the day, and after two days no blisters or hurting feet. I will see as time goes by if they will be durable to put up with my work style. It looks like they are pretty durable, but time will tell.

I love the boot. Im a scaffold builder. Going up and down a ladder is not a problem with these boots. The only problem with the boot is the liner. Had to cut the liner to take boot off. Expected a little more since only had them for 1 1/2 month. Would be a great boot if boot had a better sewen liner.
