This one's a winner I recently decided my old Wolverine workboots had had about enough, so I retired them in favor of a brand new pair of... Wolverine Thunderheads. I violated my normal policy of wearing only waterproof boots, but after wearing them for two weeks now, I'm glad I did. Weighing in at a light 19.72 oz, I believe these are the lightest workboots I've ever worn. That's important, because in construction work you're climbing ladders, slipping around in mud and other substances ad infinitum all day long day after day. That kind of work means ounces count. Another first is that the boots were quite comfortable the very first day--no break-in required, and they still feel that way. Also, it's obvious that some thought went into their shape. They are very easy to put on and lace. I'm not sure if they're entirely made of synthetic materials, but if there's any leather, it's minimal. Synthetics I've tried in past were not nearly as comfortable. The jury's still out on whether these boots will have the longevity I expect from leather, but I'm optimistic.

Great but not for hot work These are very comfortable and fit well so I'm still rating them 5 stars for everyday use. These are not however suitable for welding or other types of hot work. I probably should have known better but hopefully this review will help others.

Very comfy. lightweight I struggle to find comfy shoes for work. These are very light and the foot bed is quite forgiving to the hours of walking and lifting I do I have wide feet and would say they are perfect if the toe box wa a bit wider. I hope they last a long time
