Boots are everything they say. This review may be pre-mature, as I am writing this review on the second day of wearing them. Being a Service Consultant in the automotive world, I have found that footwear is crucial. We have an epoxy floor with sand grit in the shop area, it can get pretty slick when it gets wet. My other pair of boots (non-Wolverine) were like ice skates on the floor. They have a latex sole and were described to be non-slip, not the case. A co-worker has a pair of Wolverines and stated his do not slip on the floor. So I decided to give them a try. Glad I did. I purchased 2 sets of boots from Wolverine, late one Wednesday. They arrived that Friday while I was at work. Awesome! Those 2 sets of boots cost me $5.00 less than my one pair of "other" boots. Upon looking at them, they seemed to be made very well. No stitching by the toe that will come undone or break. I flip them over to look at the sole and am immediately worried, the sole is hard, seems like plastic almost. Wolverine says rubber outsole. Put them on in the garage and was able to slide my foot on the smooth concrete. I thought I had just purchased my second set of skates. Wore them to work on Monday, walked to the wash bay and stuck like the floor was dry. SO happy! I do not yet know how the sole wears, or how long they will last, but I'm stoked that I will not slip and break something. I have found that by the end of the first day the laces loosened, as well as on the second. Double knot still intact, laces are just loose. Not a huge deal, but something I have noticed on my Wolverines but have not noticed on my other non-Wolverine boots. Maybe due to breaking in. Wolverine may have just switched me from my other boot manufacturer, if the soles last.

Very comfortable boot, leather seems to be decent quality, soles need improving in durability. I have been a big fan and user of Wolverine boots for about 15 years, and have been quite pleased until my last 2 pairs. The main reason for my disappointment is that on both pairs the soles cracked across the ball of my feet on one or both boots, they did so at around six months in age. I think I may try another pair but am hesitant because of the short lifespan I am getting, but I do love the comfort.

MultiShox Not the Same as Durashock I've been wearing Wolverine boots for 15 years. I was in the nuclear power industry and had to pass through a metal detector everyday on the way in. Having to remove your boots in the winter meant having wet socks and in the early days of composite toed boots, Wolverines were the only ones with nice composite toed boots. After getting a pair with Durashock soles I realized I'd never own another boot that was so comfortable. I would even wear my boots when not at work(to my wife's displeasure) because I liked them so much. Time goes on and boots wear out. I always liked the stitched soles vs glued on and these Raiders are a nice looking boot so when the boot truck came last time I bought these. I'm 8 months in now and I can tell you I regret buying these boots. There is a major difference in comfort and quality. I've even developed a nice squeak from my right boot that lets people know I'm coming. I'm still a fan of Wolverines but I've learned that not all are created equal.

We are all unique and not all styles will work for everyone. DuraShocks have one large compression pad at the ball of the foot and in the heel. While MultiShox have them placed throughout the sole. Both the MultiShox and DuraShocks soles carry our 30 Day Comfort Guarantee. So, if we can help, please feel free to give the team a shout at 866.699.7369. Thank you.

Soles fall apart These are comfortable boots, I've probably owned 6 pair of Raiders over the years, but the quality has gone down hill...my last pair the soles come unglued within the first 6 months...and not even a bootsmith can repair them because of the type of glue that was used when they were built......I like the comfort but who can justify purchasing another pair every 6 months
