Comfortable boot, just doesn't hold up I work for the Railroad, I've only had these boots for about 3 months. The stitching on the boots for the protective toe reinforcement has begun to deteriorate and become separated from the leather. The soles are extremely worn and is coming off in layers. At first the boots were incredible, honestly the most comfortable work boot I've ever had. I spend most of my time as an engineer up in the cab of the locomotive but sometimes do work the ground as the conductor. I would recommend this boot for a job that has you standing in one place for hours at a time. Not for the Railroad or construction industries. Very disappointed in the integrity of the boot. I guess I have to start my boot search over again. Other than that, very comfortable and runs true to size.

Not worth a dime; 90 days to deteriorate These boots fell apart fast: the outsole started peeling, the insole layer started peeling from the out and squeaking, the stitching on the "protective toe" gave way on both boots and where the big to knuckle rests and resulted in holes, hell, even the laces broke. Wolverine was quick to replace them.....with a pair of blems of another model. Then quick to replace those.....with yet another problematic pair of yet another model that made the stick-unstick-stick-unstick noise of a bad glue job on the soles. This company's QC is obviously not up to par. I'll never do business with Wolverine again.

Was good at first... I had high hopes for these boots. They were comfortable from the get go, but after only 3 months, they started deteriorating quickly. The red rubber on the outsole started to peel away and fall off the boot with in 3 months. Once all the red rubber had come off i thought that was the end of the troubles. Not so much. The entire outsole started to delaminate from the boot. I first noticed a 2" diameter bubble between the outsole and the boot. About the same time i noticed the delamination, I also noticed some dampness after walking through a puddle (coincidence perhaps). Every step I took, I could hear air escaping from somewhere in the sole. Eventually I had the entire sole delineate. Tried putting some shoe goo on it and it held for about 2 days before the problem arose again. I truly wanted to like these but the sole issues has me very hesitant to purchase another wolverine boot. I spend 80% of my time on concrete surfaces and the remaining time spent working on the farm. Now, here's the kicker, I only weigh 160lbs so there was not much load on them. I could understand the premature failure if I was 300 or more pounds.

light weight Bought and wore these boots about a year. The comfort level was great for about one month, after that had to put different insole in place. also with in the first month the stitching started to come apart. Had to be careful on wet shop floors. I did manage to get a years wear out of the boots, but the should have been retired after six months

Not worth it I bought these less than a year ago in the 8 inch configuration. While they were comfortable for the first couple months, that quickly ended and they became unbearable to wear for a normal work day. I chose these because I liked how they looked - they do look good. Can't fault that. As well as for the fearures. 1. Waterproof - simply put, they aren't and they never were from day 1. Any puddle more than an inch deep soaked them. Any amount of rain more than a drizzle and they were wet for days. I'm not exaggerating either. 2. Slip/oil resistance - they're ok but far from the best I've had. Moderate spills on a porous surface like asphalt or concrete and you're ok. A slick treated floor or metal like on a tow truck bed and they're worthless. 3. Composite toe - seems to do what it's supposed to so no fault there. The construction of the boot itself also fell short on what I'd expect from a nearly $200 boot. Stitching in multiple spots on both boots came undone after 5 months. This made the waterproofing even worse since they each had holes in several spots. The red trim also peeled off, in some cases with my help since it was really irritating having flapping rubber hanging from my boots.
