light weight Bought and wore these boots about a year. The comfort level was great for about one month, after that had to put different insole in place. also with in the first month the stitching started to come apart. Had to be careful on wet shop floors. I did manage to get a years wear out of the boots, but the should have been retired after six months

Not worth it I bought these less than a year ago in the 8 inch configuration. While they were comfortable for the first couple months, that quickly ended and they became unbearable to wear for a normal work day. I chose these because I liked how they looked - they do look good. Can't fault that. As well as for the fearures. 1. Waterproof - simply put, they aren't and they never were from day 1. Any puddle more than an inch deep soaked them. Any amount of rain more than a drizzle and they were wet for days. I'm not exaggerating either. 2. Slip/oil resistance - they're ok but far from the best I've had. Moderate spills on a porous surface like asphalt or concrete and you're ok. A slick treated floor or metal like on a tow truck bed and they're worthless. 3. Composite toe - seems to do what it's supposed to so no fault there. The construction of the boot itself also fell short on what I'd expect from a nearly $200 boot. Stitching in multiple spots on both boots came undone after 5 months. This made the waterproofing even worse since they each had holes in several spots. The red trim also peeled off, in some cases with my help since it was really irritating having flapping rubber hanging from my boots.

Incredible comfort, though slightly loose I'm a rough-in plumber in residential construction, so my boots need to be tough. I've only been wearing these for a week, so I can't speak to longevity just yet, but all signs point to a badass pair of boots: great traction in the trenches, great flexibility, no signs of breakdown from the dryness of dirt to being soaked to back to dryness, and light on the feet. (I haven't spent any time up and down ladders yet, but the evidence thus far says they'll be a dream.) The claim of state-of-the-art sole design seems true, as well....pure comfort. My only complaint would be that they fit a bit loose, but doubling the insoles (leaving the stock one in and using a short pair underneath to leave toe room) easily resolved the issue. These bad boys are money well spent.
