Something has changed!!!!

I have been wearing this boot for over 6 years. I have a pair I wear to work which I am on concrete all day. I have a pair I wear around the house when I am off. I normally wear my work pair for 2 years and then buy a new pair, and my old pair turn into my around the house pair. I purchased a new pair about 5 months ago. The leather is different, scuffs up black vs brown. There is something wrong with the left heal of my new pair. It is a lot harder than the right. I measured them also and the left shoe is a little over 1/4 longer than the other. I can wear my old pair at work, no problem!!! Not sure what has changed but I guess I'll be looking for a different brand of boot.
