well constructed to a point

i have had these boots for about 2 or three months. At first the inside was rubbing and chaffing my ankles and the back of my calves. Other than that the boots were comfortable and didn't hurt my feet after 10 hours of work. Now i'm having a different issue. The soles have almost already worn out and makes it slippery because i work with metal. Standing, moving around with machined or raw metal. The construction of the boot overall is good.
