Gave them a fair shot, should be 5 star. With little reviews on these boots I decided to give them a shot. Like the other reviewer had mentioned (you don't break the uppers in, they break your legs in.) It was a struggle to break in, and not return them. At first I was glad I didn't they turned out to be a great and very comfortable boot. Keep in mind I wear them everyday, I've worked them in construction (utility and earth moving). I've put them to the test! Sand, snow, mud, water, rock, diesel fuel, oil and even fire! Just about everything you could throw at them, they've met and exceeded my expectations. However.. I've only had them maybe a year, maybe a little longer, but not more than two. The soles are almost worn smooth, the seams are starting to come apart, and the lowers are cracked up. Wish I could say from neglect, because I truly love this boot. But I've treated them just like my western boots, cleaned with saddle soap and rubbed with mink oil once a week. I still have Wolverine boots from 5+ years ago and they are holding up great! I've always had great experiences with Wolverine products, just a little disappointed this time around.

Driver Was attracted to the boots appearance, but upon delivery I was really expecting leather uppers. However that was not the case, and I was a a little disappointed. I figured for the money, and I've always had great experience with Wolverine boots and products so I have them a shot. I've had these boots going on 3 months now and love them! The "break in" period was a little tough, for about 3 weeks I struggle everyday on returning the boots. Glad I didn't, once broke in these are probably the most comfortable boots I've had in a long time. The worst part of the break in period was the uppers.... They more or less break your legs into the boots, they would rub my leg raw. Eventually got used to it (minus the small patch of hair on both legs that is no longer there).. Overall I would highly recommend these to anyone, just be patient with the uncomfortable break in time.. It's well worth it
