I am in love with a wolverine (product). I needed a pair of boots for work and home and I wanted a pair that would transition well between the two types of work. At work I am in an office and often have to go into a warehouse where heavy equipment is used regularly, so the steel/composite toe was really nice safety feature. At home, I am remodeling my house. I do not like any footwear that covers my ankle. I saw the negative reviews of this shoe, but really liked the looks and colors. Despite other reviewers quality issues, it seemed that they all though they were comfortable. I have never owned a wolverine pair of boots or shoes, so I decided to give them a try. GOOD DECISION! These are so much more comfortable than I can describe. I have worn them everyday for 12 hours+ per day, including weekends. I wear them during my one hour commute to work and back. If they were clunky and heavy, I would notice it the most during my commute, but I never have any fatigue or awkwardness while driving. This is the first pair of boots I have ever owned that doesn't get my toes uncomfortably cold in the winter indoors or outdoors. They have a good grip, makes for confident stepping on roofing beams or just a sidewalk (feels more tactile than other boots). I love the way they look... I have gotten compliments on how nice they look. The difference in comfort between these and the other boots I own is so radical that I can't even put my older boots on without feeling restrained and uncomfortable, even with new insoles the old boots feel worthless. I am disappointed that it took me almost 40 years to find something this good to my feet. I have since discarded my steel toe DOC MARTENS. My comfort padded DR. SCHOLL'S boots went straight to the thrift store donate pile. I basically replaced four pairs of boots with this one pair. Even if they fall apart prematurely, I still have discovered a boot with REAL human quality built-in, and have a new standard for footwear!

NOT comfortable I wear regular athletic shoes at work and wanted something that were made a little tougher and offered slip resistance because there is always water and oil on our floors. I didn't want to get work boots because of the weight, so I thought going with shoes would be better. I ordered them online so I hadn't tried them on beforehand. When I got them I realized they were REALLY heavy. I wore them for a month straight and halfway through the day had to swap them out for my old shoes. I then bought new insoles to see if that would help with the comfort but it did not. They are kind of tight in the toe area and there is a spot in the right shoe only that doesnt seem put together right and pushes against my toe. At the end of the day its swollen in that area and feels bruised. On a plus side, they are made really well. The negative is that i paid 100 bucks for shoes I only got a month of use out of.

poor fabric Had my shoes for less than a year now. Very comfortable and recommended them to a co-worker who then purchased a pair. Both of us are experiencing the fabric tearing apart on the inside and outside of the shoe near the laces. This started about 3 months from date of purchase. Don't recommend them.
