Product Details
A member of the made in USA Café Collection, the 1000 Mile “Café Miel” is much like the drink it’s named for—complex and artfully indulgent. In the way café miel brings numerous ingredients together—milk, honey, cinnamon, and vanilla—this boot does the same with Horween’s® English Tan Dublin and Chocolate Cambridge leathers, plus a contrasting tongue and heel.

FEATURES
• Horween English Tan Dublin leather upper with Chocolate Cambridge accents in the tongue and heel
• LTD monogrammed on tongue to note limited edition release
• Timeless pattern recreated from the first Wolverine 1000 Mile shoe introduced in 1914, crafted with the same attention to detail and quality craftsmanship
• Made in Wolverine’s factory in Big Rapids, Michigan, USA
• Classic stacked leather outsole with a trusted Vibram rubber heel
• Time-tested Goodyear Welt construction is durable, flexible, and allows the boot to be resoled
• Flat waxed cotton laces
• Horween leather footbed
• Unlined

These boots broke my heart. So let me start by saying I love wolverine 1000 mile boots. I have an older pair that i've been wearing frequently for 4+ years and i'm practically evangelical about their comfort and durability. I normally wear a 10 1/2 but these were size 10 which was correct since as everyone knows these run big. That pair was looking well worn so I bought a new pair of 1000 miles as a birthday gift to myself earlier in the year. I ordered them online and double checked the forums to make sure they still "run big". Ultimately I decided to go with the exact same size as my old pair, a 10. So I got these gorgeous boots and quickly realized they hurt to wear. I read several comments saying they just need a break in period and it made sense to me so i wore them every day for weeks this way. They "broke in" but still just fit so oddly. The inner part of the heal feels too snug while there's plenty of room at the toes and the "bridge" of the shoe feels too snug. The end result is that I have this gorgeous pair of boots I just can't wear all that often. It really bums me out. I should've returned them prior to breaking them in I guess and gone for the 10 1/2. That's why I'm writing this review... just go try these on in the store, be careful when you're buying hand made shoes online. Maybe i'll try my luck with the 1000 miles again one day when the budget allows for it, but I'll certainly be more careful.
