I've been wearing the same pair of boots for over 2 years now. I do a lot of walking and climbing in my job as a steel mill electrician working 8-12 hour days in all kinds of weather and my feet are always comfortable. Warm in winter, even while in snow outside. I've replaced the removable insoles twice so far but the soles are still in fantastic shape. There are many sharp, jagged pieces of steel around the casting machine in our mill but the soles of these boots hold up excellent. Our company buys us a new pair of boots each year but I haven't needed to replace my current pair yet. When I do need another pair, I won't hesitate to purchase this same model of Wolverine Boot. Very happy with this boot !!

great welding boots By metalfab 8/27/2012
Finally had to buy my second pair of these boots after almost 2 years on the first pair. Only thing I had to do was buy new wolverine insoles. They are very comfortable for my work and withstand all metal shavings to molten metal. I walk many miles and stand in one place alot and I wouldn't buy any other boots. Thanks wolverine!
Wolverine's Reply: Thanks for the great review on the durability and comfort of this style. We appreciate your loyalty to the Wolverine brand!

3rd pair By big brown 8/22/2010
best boot i've worked in. just placed order at local store to get my 3rd pair(3rd year). i weld all day and these boots take a lick! as expected with torch work, the front edge of each boot gets melted from hot metal dripping on floor and splashing up on boot and sole stitching. the thread burns, but doesn't continue to unravel all around the boot. welded while standing in puddles/moving water- great insulation! i get crap/metal dropped on my toes and upper foot-metgard has kept me from getting injured plenty of times. i work 10-14hr shifts and my feet don't hurt. whether in ankle high mud or not, boots keep me comfortable. lol-the only reason i keep getting a new pair each year is because i wear out my heel, and can't nobody restitch me a new bottom, because threads/welt in front of boot is melted away. for maintenance(while wearing boots), give boots a hard brushn and spray olive oil cooking spray till the boots are dripping. will keep getting this particular model boot till theres a blue moon!
