Brek - Wolverine Durashocks® WP 8" Boot

right out of the box they were amazing comy from the start and im realy picky with boots not often do i find a pairi i slip my foot into and it feels perfect could not ask for a better pair and im hoping they last as i do everything from working in the woods to dishes lol....

I have been a package-handler at UPS for over eighteen years. I load flatbed trucks most every night and sometimes will sort packages. Anyone who has worked at UPS or knows someone who has will testify to the rugged, extremely physical nature of the job there. Over those years I went through countless pairs of boots, trying to go on the cheap and save money. The typical life would be six months if I was lucky. The 8" Brek Durashocks were my first pair of what I would consider 'Luxury' work boots. At first you walk like Frankenstein in them but when worn in a bit they became comfortable enough to take on camping trips to hike in. The ankle support when hiking gives you security against sprains I've never felt before. An added bonus is that a rattlesnake or somesuch would not be able to bite you through the boot. As far as my results at UPS under HEAVY usage and stress I believe the longevity speaks for itself--over three & a-half (3.5) years of on-the-job usage!!! Unheard of! I wore them absolutely ragged as long as I could, I liked them so much.. Currently I have a pair of Red Wings work boots. Going on about 18 months in the pair and I find it is time to replace them. Same price and very comfortable, but they lasted only about half as long. As I look over the next month or so for my new boots they will be the 8" Breks and I hope to be wearing them still in 2015 and beyond!!! (assuming the Mayans simply ran out of ink)

I'm on my second pair of this style boots. They hold up real well for what I do. I'm on my feet everyday for around 14 hours. I have worn Wolverine boots for at least 12 years now and they last the longest. About one pair a year, which is good for me. The soles split on any other brand within three months, these just go bald which again, is good for me. I run a service shop doing everything from tire repair (kneeling down alot splitting soles on other boots) auto repair, running a wrecker, and anything else that needs to be done.
