I first bought a pair of the opanka work boots and they came unsewn so you sent me a pair of these. I love these boots. They are very comfortable. The problem is, the right boot has come unstitched and the left boot is starting to come unstitched. I love wolverine boots I just can't seem to get a pair that does not come unstitched.
Wolverine's Reply: We are sorry to hear about this issue that you are having with the stitching on your boots. We will be in touch with you very soon to address this problem.

Crane Operator By Anonymous 4/5/2014
I have to wear (or at least should wear) a safety toe for work and I've always worn a steel toe. I was over wearing a heavy boot since I can work extremely long hours at times and I was looking at purchasing a hiking style boot when I came across these. The carbonmax toe is so light and the boot is really comfortable. I usually go through my boots in a year and I was able to last 16 months with this pair. I was so impressed with the boots that I also bought the amphibious style to wear in the rain or to keep me warm in the near freezing weather I sometimes have to work in. If I'm not operating a crane then I'm assisting with another crane or building up boom so I'm not just sitting in a nice cab all day. I really love these boots and I hope Wolverine continues to make them for a very long time.
Wolverine's Reply: Thanks for your awesome support for our brand. We are happy that you choose Wolverine boots to get you through your long, hard work days!

Great Boot! By PickyBootGuy 2/17/2013
I am not one that normally reviews things, but I base my decisions heavily on reviews. Unfurtunilty I am not the kind of guy that can run into a store buy something and either be happy with it or have it fit properly. I So I felt compelled to praise this boot. I usually wear Chippewa Boots but Ive recently become tired of having a heavy boot on my feet. My local Anderson General Store carries this boot for under $100. At that price this boot is above and beyond what you would expect. This boot out of the box feels like a lightweight hiking boot. Ive been wearing it for a little over a month now and haven't noticed any difference in comfort. That tells me there is zero break in time! After noticing how light weight it is and the awesome comfort out of the box, it makes me question what I feel are very slight draw backs. I feel if Wolverine would put a tiny bit of R&D into this boot it would be EXCELLENT! Firstly the leather feels very low end, although so far it is holding up just as good as my other boots. I still clean and condition them monthly with Bick-4. My biggest concern is the sole (welt). It is molded to the boot. The traction is good. The cushioning and rubber portion feels a bit on the hard side. When you walk inside on hard surfaces it sounds like your wearing high The last pair of molded welt boot I had (Dunham Waffle Stomper Paramount) the welt started to come unglued and eventually I had to replace the boots. Only time will tell. I also do Substation work and in the Summer working on gravel/concrete around/ontop of electrical equipment it seems to multiply the ambient temperature, hopefully the glue holds up. If Wolverine would have done a stitched welt and also improved the sole to either a Vibram, Contour Welt, or Dura Shock welt I think would make a killer boot. Pretty much make a Plainsman with the composite toe. I in NO way regret purchasing this boot. At under $100 I dont expect features of a higher end boot. As "FloridaGator" stated, " I really wish there were many more options with this type of toe." Bottom Line I feel it is a great boot! I will definitely buy it again or buy the new upgraded model, wink wink. As for sizing, if it helps I wear a size 11 in Nike shoes, 12 in Adidas, 11.5 in Rockys, My Chips are at work, I think they are 11s, I bought these Wolverines in a 10.5 and they fit great. I usually wear a thicker Wigwam wool sock and replace the flimsy insoles with a pair of SuperFeet, or Powerstep Pinnacle MAXX. I feel you won't regret your purchase. Great boot Wolverine!
