Boot Maintenance Tip of the Day

Posted On: Thursday, October 17, 2013 , News

Any boot with a Polyurethane midsole or outsole is susceptible to hydrolysis – which is derived from the Greek word meaning “separation.” This can cause the soles of your boots to fall apart or detach themselves. In order to prevent this from happening, be sure to keep your boots in a steady temperature location. Do not allow your boots to sit dormant in a dark space for long periods of time as this is when hydrolysis usually takes place. Be sure to properly clean your boots of any debris or liquids after each use to help maintain their integrity.
